Savannah Children's Choir Plans Ambitious Year
In addition to a full rehearsal and performance schedule for the 2008/2009 Choir Season, the SCC is planning two trips in 2009.
The senior choir will attend the Somerset International Youth Festival in Somerset, England, and sing with youth from around the world in historic Wells Cathedral.
The Preparatory Choir will take a regional trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee, visit the Aquarium and perform while there.
Please help support our children through one of our fundraising opportunities or events throughout the upcoming year.

A Choir for Savannah's Children! |
|
 Since 2006, the Savannah Children's Choir has a mission of uniting Savannah's children through the power of song.
This auditioned community choir is designed for children grades 2nd through 8th.
Choir members are required to maintain a "B" or better average in their schoolwork, and receive free tutoring to help them achieve this goal.
In addition to a full rehearsal and performance season for the auditioned choir, the choir offers a 2-week Summer Choral Camp open to all musically interested children. The next camp will take place July 20-31, 2009.
Savannah Children's Choir announces innovative Dedication Auction on Ebay!
 Each year the Savannah Children's Choir has hosted a reception and silent auction to auction off the "naming rights" -- the opportunity to purchase a dedication -- to all the songs featured in our Annual Holiday Concert, this year on December 7 at 3 p.m. at the Lucas Theater.
This year, using Ebay's global technology, we're opening up our Dedication Auction to the world!
Starting on November 10th and ending on November 20th, the opportunity to purchase a dedication for each piece featured in our Annual Holiday Concert will be up for auction.
The winning dedications will be printed in the program, and announced during the concert.
This is a fantastic gift for loved ones or for the person who has everything!

A Tasty Fundraiser for the
Savannah Children's Choir
Join us on Monday, December 15 from 6-8 p.m. in the Ekburg Auditorium at Savannah Tech, White Bluff Campus for the tastiest fundraiser of the season!
 Guests will enjoy tastes of delicious cakes baked by local amateur and professional bakers. Guests can also compete through a silent auction to take their favorite cake home! Each guest will be able to vote for their favorite, and in addition to the popular vote, The Lady & Sons Bobby Deen will be on hand as our guest celebrity judge!
Admission is $10 per person at the door.

In addition to an busy rehearsal and performance schedule, the Choir is actively raising funds to attend an international children's choir festival in July, 2009, and the Preparatory Choir is raising funds to take a regional tour to Chattanooga, TN in May of 2009.
