Summer Camp, held annually the last two weeks of July, is a fun and educational experience for kids in 2nd to 8th grades, and also serves as the only audition into the Savannah Children’s Choir.
The camp pairs instructors earning advanced degrees in music education and related fields with talented kids. The instructors from top universities are selected to bring the latest techniques, materials and activities. The full-day camp offers musically-interested children classes in sight singing, music history, music theory and more.
Every day includes free play time, lunch time, snacks and afternoon enrichment. This special feature of SCC’s Summer Camp lets the campers enjoy a customized lecture or concert, with time for questions and hands on experience. Afternoon enrichment also teaches proper audience etiquette.
Camp culminates in a public concert the last Friday of July at 7 p.m.

Do you have a child who is too young for a full day camp experience? The SCC also offers a Mini-Choral Camp for 4-7 year olds who love to sing!
Choose from one of two one-week half-day sessions, where younger children will have so much fun they won’t notice they’re learning solid musical concepts. Mini-Camp includes a healthy morning snack, and Mini-Campers also take part in the End-of-Camp Concert.
Are you a college student working towards a Masters or Doctorate in music education or related field?
